When people travel along Maryland roadways, they never expect to become the victims of a horrible car accident. Unfortunately, thousands of people are injured or killed in motor vehicle accidents each year. The cause of these accidents vary, from drowsy, distracted and intoxicated drivers, to equipment malfunctions and bad weather conditions.

The cause of an accident that occurred in Bel Air is currently under investigation, as law enforcement officers have yet to identify the reason a vehicle swerved into the center median of the road twice and then smashed into a tree. Once the vehicle collided with the tree, witnesses watched as it lit up into flames. No one will know what went on in the vehicle during that time. However, as the flames continued to develop, a 16-year-old boy climbed out of the passenger side door, clearly traumatized by the accident.

Sadly, a mother and a 4-year-old girl who was also in the vehicle died in the fire. While some are speculating that a medical issue or equipment malfunction caused the vehicle to swerve and hit the tree, the cause of the accident is still unknown.

When people lose their loved ones in a tragic car accident, they may be left searching for answers. A personal injury attorney may be able to help families piece together the details of the situation and may be able to formulate a strong case. Not only may this help in giving the family closure, but it may help to bring to justice the guilty party.
